Biography - Emilie

Emily has been a gymnast for the past 3 years. She is currently a level 7 working toward level 8. Practice schedules are grueling at this level with workouts being 4 hours a day, 5 days a week. It takes a lot of dedication and devotion to keep up this pace all while maintaining A’s & B’s in school.
Emily is involved in her church, and is a youth leader at Genesis UMC. She is in the 8th grade and is an excellent student. Emily is looking forward to attending Greenhope High School this fall and plans to join the school gymnastics team.

Some of her gymnastic accomplishments:
• Level 5 – 4th All Around in state meet
• Level 7 – State All Around 2008 with 2nd on beam and bars, 4th on vault, and 1st in floor.

What does Emily enjoys the most about gymnastics?

“I enjoy competing because it is so much fun and I also love the feeling when I get a new skill or accomplish, something new and awesome that not many people can do.”

The part of gymnastics that Emily likes the least is that it is so tough on your entire body. Her favorite color is orange; she loves watermelon & country music!
